CREY Games — Mobile App Redesign

CREY is a fun, social and highly customizable platform for people with a passion for creativity and playfulness — built around the belief that play can change the world for the better.

I contributed to the complete redesign of the mobile app, with the goal of creating a more intuitive and user-friendly experience.

Working under the direction of a senior creative lead with strong mobile UX/UI expertise, I translated the overall design direction into detailed mobile experiences.

The key challenge was creating a coherent experience across a complex mobile product with many interconnected screens, flows and interactions.

A major focus was cross-screen consistency, ensuring that interaction patterns, visual elements and behaviours remained predictable throughout the experience.

Rather than treating screens as isolated interfaces, I approached them as interconnected parts of a larger product system. This meant considering how decisions in one area affected other screens and flows, while establishing reusable patterns that could scale consistently across the product.

Earlier in my collaboration with CREY, I also worked on redesigning parts of the desktop experience, contributing to product decisions and collaborating closely with the development team. This broader involvement gave me valuable experience in shaping product solutions while balancing design intent with technical feasibility.

The redesign resulted in a clearer, more consistent and intuitive mobile experience, supported by a systematic approach to interactions and interface patterns.

Working closely with a creative lead with exceptional mobile UX/UI expertise further refined my approach to complex mobile products, particularly in designing coherent experiences at a system level — principles that continue to shape my product design work today.
